Privacy Policy

Your budget data should feel private by default.

Last updated April 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Edijs Petersons, the operator of Pigi, collects, uses, stores, and shares information in connection with Pigi. Pigi is operated by Edijs Petersons ("Pigi", "we", "us", or "our"). This page covers the Pigi app, related support channels, and getpigi.com.

Information we collect

  • Account and profile information, such as your name, email address, sign-in credentials handled through our authentication providers, and settings tied to your Pigi account.
  • Budgeting information you create in the app, including setup answers, budgets, accounts, categories, transactions, memos, balances, funding decisions, and similar financial-planning data you choose to enter.
  • Subscription and trial information, including whether you are on a trial or paid plan and basic subscription status information received from Apple or other payment-related providers.
  • Support information, including emails you send to support@getpigi.com or privacy@getpigi.com, messages you send through support channels, and any screenshots or diagnostics you choose to share with us.
  • Device and app information reasonably needed to run, secure, and improve Pigi, such as app version, operating system, crash or error context, notification preferences, and whether you choose to enable biometric protection like Face ID.
  • Media and attachment information when relevant features are used, such as overview snapshots you choose to export or save to your device and, if enabled in the future, receipts, bills, or other images you choose to attach to transactions.

How we use information

  • Provide, maintain, and personalize Pigi.
  • Sync your account state, budgets, transactions, and preferences across supported devices and sessions.
  • Process subscriptions, trials, billing-related state, and entitlement checks.
  • Respond to support questions, troubleshoot issues, and review diagnostics you choose to send us.
  • Protect the app, detect abuse, prevent fraud, and keep user data secure.
  • Improve product quality, reliability, and future features, including planned attachment and receipt functionality.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only when it is reasonably necessary to run Pigi, deliver features you ask for, comply with law, or protect the app and its users.

  • Service providers that help operate Pigi, such as providers for authentication, cloud infrastructure, app delivery, subscription management, secure storage, notifications, and customer support workflows.
  • Apple, App Store, and payment-related providers to the extent needed to manage subscriptions, purchases, refunds, and platform requirements.
  • Professional advisers or authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights, investigate abuse, or respond to valid legal requests.

Exports, sharing, and uploaded media

If you choose to export an overview snapshot, save it to your photo library, or share it through your device's share sheet, Pigi processes that action at your direction. Once you save or share content outside Pigi, that content may be governed by the policies of your device platform, photo library, or the third-party app you choose.

If and when Pigi adds receipt, bill, or other transaction attachment features, the images or files you upload will be stored and processed to provide that feature. Those uploads will remain private within Pigi unless you choose to share them or we need limited access for support, security review, or abuse prevention.

Support and diagnostics

If you contact support, we may receive the information you include in your message together with app details that help us investigate, such as app version, platform details, account identifiers, subscription state, and any screenshots or support snapshots you choose to send us.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate Pigi, maintain your account, provide support, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and protect the service. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and whether your account is still active.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of storage, transmission, or security control is perfect, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International processing

Pigi and the providers we rely on may process or store information in countries other than the country where you live. By using Pigi, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in other jurisdictions where privacy laws may differ.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your information. To make a privacy request, email privacy@getpigi.com.

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your account or personal information, subject to any lawful retention needs.
  • Ask questions about how your information is used, stored, or shared.

Children's privacy

Pigi is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 18, you should only use Pigi with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates may reflect product changes, legal requirements, or changes to the operator, ownership, or legal structure of Pigi. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
